Minister of Finance Marinka Gumbs highlights key accomplishments achieved over the past year, comprehensive tax reform remains a top priority. The Minister expects to defend the retraction of the inheritance tax and the land tax in Parliament in 2026. Draft legislation on a tourist tax is currently under internal review and will then proceed to the Council of Advice. The measure to effectuate the dividend withholding tax is expected to significantly improve compliance. The Minister is hopeful that income tax filing 2025 will be fully available through the digital platform.
